AMS are delighted to announce that our next project is well underway and due for start-up Q3 this year.
AMS are making a significant investment in a new horizontal powder coating line. This new line will complement our existing horizontal and vertical paint line and will give us significantly more capacity for larger profiles and sheet metal work.
The equipment which has been sourced and will be installed by Paint Finishing System Ltd from Wigan, incorporates a Eurotherm curing oven and a state-of-the-art Wagner powder spray booth.
The package includes:
1) The latest hybrid curing and heat exchange technology along with low demand motors leading to much lower carbon emissions linked to our solar panel investment. This will lead to a perfect cure graph, consistent curing with minimal entry and exit heat loss.
2) Heavy duty conveyor, resulting in greater loading density.
3) Wagner, Industry leading EVO powder application and booth module, which produces consistent application and has full fire detection system as per legislation requirements.
4) Jig Oven, efficient cycle control, and benefits of accurate reporting and control of emissions.
5) Full stainless-steel pre-treatment line incorporating in-line drying, with two independent crane systems all bunded and secured to EPA requirements.
6) Pure water and effluent system, allows reuse of softened water through our rainwater harvesting system.
7) Complete system design and layout resulting in minimal manual handling, greater and faster production capacity, consistent quality performance, and of course reduced CARBON FOOTPRINT in line with our energy reduction goals.
This new line is of course fully compliant with our Qualicoat Seaside licence and will help us to achieve this in conjunction with our chrome free pre-treatment system that has stood the test of time since we started powder coating in 2001.
